Style Highlight: Grammys 2013

I love award shows because of the beautiful fashion that all of my favorite celebrities and socialites sport down the red carpet. This style moment is to highlight my top 10 favorite fashion choices of the night from both males and females.  I just love to see what these celebrities are going to chose as their final choice on what their perfect look will be for this particular show. I’m always excited to see what those such as Rihanna and JLO have chosen to wear because you can always count on them to show out in a great look and they didn’t disappoint.  This year, the Grammy awards sent out a notice to all celebrity attendees detailing this years dress restrictions, but these beauties were able to follow the
guidelines and still show up and show out! So here are my top 10 choices in no particular order:

One of my personal favorites of the night was Kelly Rowland looking so beautiful in a show stopping Georges Chakra gown. This singer always makes sure that her dresses are top notch for every award event! Her body looked absolutely perfect and she made sure she kept all of the right places covered.

Rihanna is gorgeous as usual wearing a stunning custom-made Alaia dress. This dress is definitely more traditional than the typical Rihanna award show gown, but it was truly a great choice. But if you look close, you can still see that Rihanna is still showing that “typical Rihanna” skin.

JLO is once again pushing the limits of fashion in her Anthony Vaccarello dress. The thigh high slit allowed her to display her great toned legs as she posed in a typical “Angelina Jolie” pose. She looks amazing as always.

One person that I’ve learned that I can always rely on to have on a great piece is Katy Perry. She didn’t disappoint sporting a striking mint green Gucci gown that showed off her body through a jeweled keyhole.

Every award show allows me to gain more respect for Taylor Swift in the fashion world. She has looked absolutely amazing at every recent award show and didn’t fail to continue this streak at the Grammys. She looked gorgeous in this off white gown by J. Mendel.

A young lady that I love because she sticks to her own personal style is Janelle Monae. She always looks great typically wearing some form of a female tuxedo suit. She continued on her unique, but incredible look wearing a wonderful Spanish inspired tuxedo look paired with a great black hat that accented the outfit so well.

Beyonce never ceases to amaze me in her fashion choices and this was no exception. She went against the predictions of many as she showed up to the awards sporting a black and white jumpsuit that was every so sleek and looked astounding as usual.

Moving on to males, I have always had a major love for Justin Timberlake and he looked fantastic tonight in a classic Tom Ford suit. I think that the classic black and white added a certain dapper affect to his ensemble.

Another male that I thought stepped out of the box and looked great was John Mayer. He arrived to the awards wearing a super cool and unique deep blue velvet tuxedo jacket paired with black tuxedo trousers and a paisley bow tie with black and lavender accents.

Lastly, Chris Brown was a pleasant surprise for me. He looked so handsome wearing an all white attire by Lanvin. This classic all white with a touch of black accents on the buttons was a great choice and definitely stood on out on the red carpet!
