Save or Splurge: Black Mule Edition
This season, mules have definitely been a highly coveted shoe. I've spent a couple of months looking for the perfect pair of black mules. There are many options out there but many of them are so expensive and as a college student I love to find the look for less, so when I came across these black mules at Forever 21 I knew I had to have them. These shoes are definitely very comfortable and look exactly like many of the $400 plus versions I have seen, I would definitely recommend them!

I definitely do have my personal favorite tumblrs that I go to daily for fashion inspiration and they help to be able to accurately decide what pieces I want to be in my wardrobe this season. Some of my favorite Tumblr sites are http://ungesh.tumblr.com/, http://death-by-elocution.tumblr.com/, and http://lynniebinnyface.tumblr.com/ in case you all want to check them out! Hope you enjoy some of these pics!

Stylespiration: Shiona Turini
Fashion market director, style connoisseur, and HBCU graduate Shiona Turini is definitely one of my stylespirations! Shiona was born and raised in Bermuda, but always had a love for fashion from a young age. When she graduated from Hampton University, she had absolutely no experience in the fashion industry but she knew NY was the place to be so she made the big leap and moved to the big apple. Her first foot in the door in the industry was a PR internship at Yves Saint Laurent (YSL). Shiona is definitely a bold women who knows what she wants because she appeared at YSL daily although the intern program was already full until they allowed her to stay. She worked with YSL for about a year and was then hired as a PR assistant for the company and from this position her career continued to blossom. After being with YSL for 3 years, she was offered the opportunity to work for W Magazine as an Accessories editor. Although this was a new world for her, she knew that it was time to start branching out in the industry.
