Summer Tweed

I've officially been a working woman for a month now, woohoo! It's so crazy to think that in 2 months instead of going back to classes, I'll be staying in the real world continuing my adult life. Sometimes when I sit at my desk I forget that I'm at my actual job, I almost feel like I'm at a summer internship but then I snap back to reality. In case you all are wondering, this first month in NY has been great. I'm finally settling into my apartment and have been able to begin making more NYC memories. It's also finally starting to feel like summer here. We've had such crappy weather the past few weeks whether it was super cloudy or a rainy/humid day so hopefully this better weather means that I'll be taking more blog pics soon.

One thing that I like about having an official job is being able to have the option to dress up everyday. Sounds kind of weird I know, but that was one thing that I looked forward to when thinking about my career. I've always had a pretty big collection of heels that I felt weren't appropriate for the classroom setting but I didn't go out enough for them to really get their time to shine, so as a working woman I can finally mix it up. One great thing about my job is that their isn't one "set" type of attire where you have to wear a suit or a business dress everyday so I can really mix and match alot of the pieces that I have in my wardrobe. This particular dress that I'm wearing is one of my favorite "working woman" dresses that I have lol. It's a twist on the classic Kate Spade tweed dress and I love it. Hopefully I can start to show you all more of my work wardrobe soon and I hope you all are having a great summer!
